In February 2020 a Memorandum of Understanding was as well as a Framework Agreement was signed between Ilia State University and the University of Munster at the doctoral level of Higher Education. The collaboration involves the co-supervision of Georgian and German professors and awarding double degree to doctoral students. As a part of this partnership, the Volkswagen Foundation will fully fund ten PhD students during 3.5 years. The documents were signed by the Rectors of both Universities.
