Gocha Golubiani, a doctoral student in the joint transdisciplinary Carl Friedrich Lehmann-Haupt international doctoral program of Ilia State University (ISU) and the Georg-August University of Göttingen (Germany) defended his dissertation Comparative Mitochondrial Proteome in Rett Syndrome Mouse Model on March 31, 2023.
The program allows doctoral candidates to defend their dissertations using the Cotutelle model and to receive a double doctoral degree and a diploma from both universities.

The dissertation defense was held in English in a hybrid format, with the ISU dissertation board physically present and their German counterparts participating virtually.
