Trainings for Supervisors

Support for  Supervisors:

When it comes to skills enhancement and improvement, International Doctoral School puts the focus not solely on the doctoral candidates. An important prerequisite for being selected and appointed as supervisor is the willingness and openness to self-reflect and – despite the year-long experience with supervising PhD students – expose oneself to a discourse on supervision-related experiences, identified problems and difficulties, applied skills and methods and also new approaches. Therefore, different trainings and workshops will be offered to the supervisors at ISU giving the opportunity to personally meet, discuss with and learn from each other and eventually enhance their supervision skills.

Workshop on Successful Supervision was already conducted by Univ.-Prof. Dr. Michael Decker M.Phil. (Cambridge)
